Colorado - From Pike's Peak to the Great Sand Dunes and Hanging Lake

After our Long's Peak hike was canceled due to weather, we came up with a plan to road trip across Colorado. We'd start by driving up to the top of Pike's Peak. There, we ate the donuts before heading down towards Garden of the Gods. After a rain soaked adventure through the rocks, we went to the town of Colorado Springs where we had lunch with Kevin Fedde, fellow youtuber (/kevinfedde). Next, we headed towards Canon City where we saw Royal Gorge in the twilight with a thunderstorm in the distance. Then we stayed the night in a cabin.

The next day, our first destination was Great Sand Dunes National Park. We did some sand boarding which ended up being a little more difficult than we expected. So we headed to the town of Creede to have some pizza for lunch. After that we continued on our way and found ourselves in Lake City. We had some ice cream and then continued on. Our final stop was Black Valley of the Gunnison. We admired a couple of overlooks and then headed to our accommodations for the night, Big B's Orchard. Turns out there was a dance party going on, and do you think we would leave you hanging and not participate? Of course not.

The next day, we headed to a hot spring on the side of the road. It was as mediocre as that sounds. Next, we headed to the town of Carbondale where we grabbed a quick coffee. We got a tip from some dude who said there was a better hot springs in Glenwood Springs, so we checked that out. After that, we split up and Robby went up to Hanging Lake and saw some absolutely amazing sights, and Thomas and Andrew stayed in town to check out the grave of Doc Holliday. Finally, Robby arrived at the restaurant and was enthusiastically greeted by some randoms before trying Rocky Mountain Oysters (3 out of 10, do not recommend). And then, we drove home!
